BRIDGESTONE EARTHMOVER TYRES PTY LTD PRIVACY POLICY

BSEM has developed this policy and procedure to reflect the National Privacy Principles established in the Federal Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act, 2000.

Policy Provisions:

 

  • All information collected by the Company which includes anything which is personal or confidential in nature is to be held in confidence

 

  • Such information is only to be used for the purpose for which it was collected

 

  • The Company will take reasonable steps to ensure that those who provide information to it are aware of the use which will be made of the information, and if it is, or may be, disclosed to a third party, the purpose and nature of such disclosure

 

  • Personal information elicited by the Company is to be only that which is necessary and relevant for the purpose for which it is obtained

 

  • Reasonable steps will be taken to protect the security of personal information provided to the company; if the information has to be shared with a third party, reasonable steps will be taken to ensure there is no unauthorised use or disclosure of the information by the third party

 

  • Where changing circumstances cause personal information to be used or disclosed differently to that which was understood by the person concerned when the information was given, the person will be advised accordingly and their agreement sought in writing for such different use or disclosure

 

  • Where personal information is held, it must be accessible insofar as is reasonable, by the individual concerned, so that its accuracy can be confirmed and any amendments advised to the Company

 

  • After personal information has been used for the intended purpose, it will either be stored securely, or if retention is not necessary, it will be destroyed within a reasonable period

 

  • Should the Company wish to transfer any personal information to another country, it will only do so if it is satisfied that the other country has in place similar privacy principles, and that the information will not be treated in a manner inconsistent with Australian National Privacy Principles

 

  • The role of Privacy Co-ordinator has been created within the Company in order to oversight privacy policy, procedure and matters arising

 

  • A copy of this Privacy Policy must be made available to any person reasonably requesting it.
