vertical-align:top"> Bridgestone Earthmover Tyres has been appointed the exclusive Australian and regional distributor for Topy wheels and rims for mining and construction equipment, effective May 1, 2009. <br><br> Topy Industries range of OTR (off-the-road) wheels and rims includes a full line of wheel products and services for mining, construction and materials handling applications. <br><br> According to Michael Ryan, Bridgestone Earthmover Tyres' Executive Manager  Diversified Products, Topy is the world's only steel producer that manufactures wheels and rims, applying specific material specifications to individual wheel components in order to maximise safety, strength and durability. <br><br> "This assures Topy wheel users that these products are manufactured and tested to the highest standards of quality and safety." he said. <br><br> Bridgestone Earthmover Tyres has been the Topy distributor for eastern Australia for more than 20 years, and has now expanded its distributorship to cover the whole country. <br><br> "In Japan, Bridgestone and Topy work closely together on tyre and wheel design, research and development, so this expansion of our arrangements in Australia makes sense for both companies." said Ryan. <br><br> "In addition, we are expanding our complete tyre management services to now include wheel and rim management, covering safety inspections, repairs, crack testing and other services." <br><br> "Wheel and rim maintenance is an important safety issue for the industry, with a significant number of incidents and serious injuries attributed to wheel failure." he said. <br><br> "As a result of this, Bridgestone Earthmover Tyres is now able to offer a complete solution for premium tyres, wheels and rims, including supply, management, training and repair." <br><br> Further information: Bridgestone Earthmover Tyres, ph 1800 114 040, or email sales@bsem.com.au. </td> <td align="center" style="width:20px"> &nbsp;
